Thomas J. Webster’s (H index: 133) degrees are in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh (B.S., 1995; USA) and in biomedical engineering from RPI (Ph.D., 2000; USA). He has formed over a dozen companies who have numerous FDA approved medical products currently improving human health in over 30,000 patients. His technology is also being used in commercial products to improve sustainability and renewable energy. He is currently helping those companies and serves as a professor at Brown University, Saveetha University, HebeiUniversity of Technology, UFPI, and others. LI Qingwen is the Vice President and Professor at the Division of Nanodevices & Materials, Suzhou Institute of Nano-Tech and Nano-Bionics (SINANO), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), where he has served as Professor and Director since December 2007. His expertise lies in the controllable synthesis of low-dimensional carbon nanomaterials, functional carbon nanotube (CNT) fibers, separation and functionalization of single-walled CNTs, as well as the synthesis and application of CNT-based functional composites. His research primarily focuses on the controllable synthesis and application of nano-carbon materials. He received his Ph.D. in General Chemistry from Peking University in 2000, an M.S. in Physical Chemistry from Shandong University in 1990, and a B.S. in Physical Chemistry from Xinjiang University in 1987.

Chuanyi Wang is a distinguished professor at Shaanxi University of Science & Technology (SUST) of China, serving as Academic Dean at School of Environmental Science and Engineering, Director of Shaanxi Province’s Innovation and Talent Introduction Base, and Director of Xi’an International Joint Research Centre. Dr. Wang has led more than 30 national/international research projects, including prestigious key research projects sponsored by NSFC and CAS. His research focuses on energy and environmental photocatalysis, environmental materials, waste recycling, and green technologies towards low carbon etc. He has published over 400 peer-reviewed articles with over 27,000 citations and H- index 93, authorized 75 Chinese/ US patents, published 3 monographs, and has given over 260 invited keynote or plenary talks at national/international conferences and research institutions. Young-Tae Chang was born in Busan, Korea, in 1968. He studied chemistry at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), Korea and received his B.S. in 1991. After one and half years of army service in Korea, he started his graduate study at POSTECH and received a Ph.D. in 1997 under the supervision of Prof. Sung-Kee Chung, working on the divergent synthesis of all possible regioisomers of myo-inositol phosphates. He did his postdoctoral work with Prof. Peter Schultz at UC Berkeley and The Scripps Research Institute. In 2000, he was appointed assistant professor at New York University and promoted to associate professor in 2005. He received the NSF Career award in 2005 and his research interests have been chemical genetics, molecular evolution, and artificial tongues. In September, 2007, he moved to National University of Singapore and Singapore Bioimaging Consortium (SBIC). He was a full professor of Chemistry and leader of Medicinal Chemistry Program of NUS, and Lab Head of Bioimaging Probe Development at SBIC, A-STAR. In 2017, he came back to POSTECH, as a professor in the Department of Chemistry, and joined Center for Self-assembly and Complexity (CSC), Institute for Basic Science (IBS) as an Associate Director. He received 심상철 학술상 & Yoshida prize for organic chemist in 2022, Toray Science and Technology award in 2023. He published more than 430 scientific papers / 3 books, gave more than 400 invited talks and filed 60 patents so far.
